A survey of the seventy-nine folks attending the 2025 Hill Country Hangout confirmed the rally was a huge success. The overall rating was a strong 4.3 out of five stars with 100% indicating they would return for another.
The campgrounds were determined to be excellent with one commenting they liked the fact that the campsite was not restricted to a site pad.
Kerrville, located in the heart of Hill country, was rated excellent to good by an overwhelming majority of folks. Based on this and a previous survey, Kerrville is a very favorable location to hold the Hangout going forward.
The fee included two dinners and two casual breakfasts. The main course for Friday’s dinner was a German/Mexican treat consisting of a bratwurst neatly wrapped in a tortilla while the Saturday dinner was a superb smoked brisket. Each was served with a selection of accoutrements. Breakfast consisted of a selection of locally procured donuts and coffee. Survey takers rated the meals as good and excellent (95%).
As for value for money, 55% found the value to be very reasonable while 45% believed it was reasonable for what the Hangout offered.
The comments received provided insight into what to consider for future Hangouts. Many of the comments commended the organizers and the event as being well organized, held in a great venue, and stated they were happy they attended. Additional comments included:
- Have music/entertainment (park does not allow music at the event).
- Have a beer tasting from a local independent brewer (park has rules regarding alcohol).
- Hold a mini swap meet.
- Have better weather!
Organizers of the Hill Country Hangout are preparing for next year’s event to be held the last weekend of April.
